Gabor Lodi
Gabor Lodi is afkomstig uit
het dorp Moravica in Vajdaság. Na het beëindigen van de lerarenopleiding
kunst aan de universiteit in Novi Sad, gaf hij een jaar lang lessen op een
gymnasium waar hij tijdens het lesgeven ontdekte dat de regels en
criteria die in de beeldende kunsten gehanteerd worden nergens op gebaseerd
zijn. Daarom be-sloot hij zelf deze kunsttak te onderzoeken. Sinds zijn
studie aan kunstacademie Minerva te Groningen werkt hij als graficus,
schilder en beeldhouwer. Hij is lid van verschillende kunstgroepen
(waaronder 9+1, BKR, en Prograph) en
neemt deel aan tentoonstellingen en kunstmanifestaties. Deze
ervaringen heeft hij toegepast tijdens een vierjarig promotieonderzoek
aan de universiteit van Leiden. Ter af-
Gabor Lodi is a
native of the village Moravica in Vajdaság. After fini-shing art school
for teachers at the University of Novi Sad, he gave during one year lessons at
grammar school and during teaching he realised that the rules and
criteria that are used in visual art have no foundation. Therefore, he
decided to explore this field of art himself. Since he finished his
studies at the academy of art Minerva in Gro-ningen, he is working as a
graphic artist, painter and sculptor. He is a member of various
art-groups (9+1, BKR, Prograph etc.) and par-ticipating in exhibitions and manifestations of art.
These experiences he has applied during a four-years period of
dissertation research at the University of Leiden. As a result of this
research, the book Beel-dende Kunst Filosofie (Visual Art Philosophy) was
published, in which his conviction that there are no fixed criteria’s
and rules in the visual arts, is developed philosophically. In his works
of art he strives for simpleness and essence of thinking. His images
can be associated with forms present in nature, but they are not created
with this mea-ning, the images refer to themselves and have to be looked
at like this, as things on their own. His in relation to filography
(space-form philosophy) created works are published by Filograph. The paintings and a part of the sculptures (about 80 pieces)
that are made in con-nection with this research, are in the collection
of the Centre of Visual Arts in Groningen. The rest of his work (about
400 paintings, 1000 plastic arts, 35 sculptures of concrete and 2000
drawings / graphics) are in various public and private collections. At
the moment, he works on further development of filography.
Vajdaságból származok (Moravica, Topolya, Fecetic). Az Újvidéki tanárképző főiskola után egy évig tanítottam művészetet és művészet történelmet a Topolyai gimnáziumban. Itt jöttem rá, a képzőművészet-ben használt kritériumok és normák nincsenek megalapozva, elhatá-roztam, tovább tanulmányozom a képzőművészetet. A Groningeni képzőművészeti Minerva Akadémia befejezése után, húsz évig dol-goztam grafikus, festő, szobrászként. Különböző művészeti csoport-ba (9+1, BKR, Prograph, stb.) kiállításokon, képzőművészeti mani-fesztációkon vettem részt. Az itt szerzett tapasztalatokat felhasznál-tam a Leideni egyetemen négy évig tartó disszertációtanulmányom-hoz, amely könyvként megjelent Képzőművészet Filozófia címen. Ez a filozófiai tanulmány még jobban meggyőzött, a képzőművészet-ben nincsenek biztos mércék és szabványok. A munkámban az egy-szerű lényeges gondolkodásmódra törekszek. Alkotásaim kapcsolatba hoz-hatók a természetben megtalálható formákkal, de nem ezzel a céllal készültek, a formák csak magukat képviselik, és mint tárgyak önma-gukba véve léteznek. A filográfia megalapozásával készült munkáimat a Filograph kiadó megjelentette, ezzel kapcsolattal készült képeim, szobraim egy része (kb. 80 alkotás) a Groningeni művészeti központ-ban található. A többi munkám (kb. 400 festmény, 1000 kis plasztika, 35 betonszobor és 2000 rajz/grafika) különböző városi és állami gyűj-teményben vagy magán tulajdonban van. Jelenleg a filográfiai kutatás fejlesztésén dolgozok.
